Information For Clients |
Client Files Client files are maintained securely in Mr. Tully's office. Some files are paper files and some are computer files. All can be examined at the client's request, provided sufficient notice is given. The firm also provides an online client file service. For clients who wish to take advantage of this option, files are placed online in a secure folder. The client is assigned a random access code to protect anonymity, as well as login and password information for the secured site. Each client has a separate identifier and login information to protect confidentiality. In addition, all files are password protected. You can read more about our security precautions by clicking on the link to the left. Please email us to ask about the cost of this service. |

Fees and Costs: Most of the legal services are billed on an hourly basis. For those accounts, the client receives a descriptive billing statement that describes the nature of services being billed and states the dates on which the work took place. Hourly fees are billed in increments of tenths of an hour. Casual email messages are billed at half that rate. Longer email messages, such as those with attachments, are billed at the regular rate. Costs are billed as pass-through expenses, except for copies, which are billed at .20 per copy. Billable costs include postage, process servers, couriers, witness fees, expert witness fees, paralegal fees, investigators, and other costs reasonably necessary for efficient representation of the client. Some legal and consultation services are billed on a set fee basis. This includes presentations at conferences, training of school personnel, and documentation preparation. These services are negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Finally, personal injury cases are billed on a contingency basis, which means there is no fee unless there is a recovery, in which case the fee is a percentage of the amount recovered. Contingency fees are negotiated on a case-by-case basis. |
